Addressing gambling harm

With clear links between gambling harm and mental health, as well as direct financial impacts, ERG councils collaborate to address the rise of gambling-related harm and levels of exposure, assisting schools and sporting clubs to create gambling-free environments.

Knox, Monash and Maroondah councils support the Alliance for Gambling Reforms’ calls to:

• Address gambling harm as a public health issue
• Ban inducements and loyalty schemes
• Reduce venue opening hours and end gambling ads
• Ban credit funded gaming and improve regulatory oversight federally.
